MISSION

The mission of the Manvel Volunteer Fire Department and its members is to ensure the safety of the community by offering a secure environment, appropriate equipment, and comprehensive training for all firefighters and emergency personnel, regardless of the nature of the emergency.

This commitment extends to providing emergency services not only to the City of Manvel but also to its extraterritorial jurisdiction (ETJ), covering an expansive area of 54 square miles and serving a population of approximately 22,000 residents. Additionally, the department stands ready to offer mutual aid to neighboring communities.

To fulfill its mission effectively, the Manvel Volunteer Fire Department operates under a contract with the Brazoria County Emergency Service District - 3. This district comprises eleven fire departments and four ambulance services, reflecting a collaborative approach to emergency response and community safety. The department actively participates in mutual aid efforts, promptly responding to requests for assistance from other departments nearby and adjacent cities, further reinforcing the commitment to collective emergency response and the well-being of the entire region.
